Young Hyson tea is the highest grade of Hyson tea. The leaves are picked before the rainy season to ensure a younger, higher quality leaf. The leaves are then twisted and dried at a higher heat than other greens giving them a heavier body and slightly fuller, pungent flavor. Young Hyson tea leaves are rolled so they have a long, twisted appearance that unfurls when brewed.

This tea is sold loose leaf, meaning it will not arrive packed in tea bags.

Smoky, light green tea. Luv it.

My new favorite green tea

This tea has a very nice, mellow green tea flavor, with a full-bodied richness akin to a black tea. It is not at all acidic the way some green teas can be. This is my new favorite green tea!

Subtle and Earthy

It's a good earthy tea, it can be oversteeped really easily if done right the color should be a light gold or a warm yellow green. It has very stuble flavor and taste good on it's own or mixed with pepermint, but doesn't do well mixed with other herbal teas.
